Welcome to the 2021-2022 school year!! My entire teaching career has been in Valencia County, being highly qualified in ELA (English) . I spent my first eight years at Belen High School and transferred to VHS in 2018. This year marks my 12th year in education. I received my Secondary Education Degree from the University of New Mexico. Knowing I had a natural love for our community, it was my passion in knowing I had to give back and help shape the youth aka our FUTURE LEADERS!!! I grew up in Peralta, NM and received all my K-12 education in the Los Lunas School District. I am married and have two daughters Abigail and Elizabeth. One is in high school and the youngest daughter is in elementary school. Being a mother, I extremely value the importance of education and am honored to teach VHS Jag students. I am the teacher I strive for when my own children enter a class. As hobbies, I enjoy reading, swimming and spending QUALITY time with my family!! I am also the ELA Deparment Chair, Class of 2025 Sponsor as was named Teacher of the Year for the 2019-2020 school year. I am SO EXCITED and can't wait to start our AMAZING school year!!
